From brief to first carton — the steps, the documents, and how low MOQs and LCL let a new brand test the market without a heavy commitment.

A lot of new brand owners assume that getting supplements made in India means huge volumes and a complicated process. It does not have to. Here is how a first private-label order actually runs when it is done properly.

Start with the brief, not the price

Before anyone quotes, the useful conversation is about what you are actually building: the actives and dose you want, the format (capsule, tablet, soft-gel, gummy, effervescent), your target market and its rules, and your budget. India runs an asset-light model well — we do not pretend to own a plant; manufacturing is at audited, GMP-certified partner facilities, and our job is to translate your brief into a buildable, compliant product.

Formulation, samples and a pilot batch

Once the recipe and excipients are settled you get a costed quotation with an indicative MOQ and lead time. Then come development samples and, for most products, a pilot batch — so you sign off on taste, appearance, disintegration and artwork before the full run. This is the stage that prevents expensive surprises, and it is worth not rushing.

  • Brief: actives, dose, format, market, budget
  • Costed quote with MOQ and lead time
  • Samples + pilot batch for your sign-off
  • Scale-up under GMP with in-process checks
  • Batch CoA, then private-label packing and export docs

Test the market before you commit big

You do not need a full container for a first launch. Low MOQs and LCL (part-container) shipping let you put a modest, real production run on your own shelf, prove the demand, and only then scale to full volumes. For an emerging brand this is the difference between a manageable first step and a frightening one — you carry far less stock risk while you learn what sells.

Documentation that matches your market

Every shipment carries the certificate and document set your importer and your country's regulator require — the facility holds the GMP, USFDA, ISO, HACCP and Kosher certifications; we assemble the compliance pack per market and label to the destination's rules. Get this right and the goods clear cleanly; get it wrong and even good product sits at customs.

Tip: Keep your first SKU range tight — one or two strong products done well beat ten launched thin. You can always add formats once the first ones are moving.

Frequently asked questions

Do you handle everything from product design to delivery at our warehouse?

Yes — we run a single-window OEM service: product and label design, formulation, manufacture at the GMP partner facility, quality testing and CoA, private-label packing, export documentation and, on DAP terms, delivery right to your warehouse. You brief once and deal with one point of contact through to finished stock; import duties and taxes at your end remain your account.

What does the private-label process look like?

It runs brief to quote to samples to a pilot batch, then scale-up once you approve. The pilot batch de-risks the full run for both sides before committing to volume.

Which formats can you private-label?

Capsules, tablets, soft-gels, gummies, effervescent and sachets — all solid formats. We do not make syrups or liquids.

What is the MOQ, and can you handle small first orders?

MOQ is project-based and kept low for new brands, with LCL trial orders available so you can enter the market without a container-load commitment. We confirm the exact figure against your chosen format and actives.

Who manufactures, and do you handle market-specific labelling?

Manufacturing is at an audited GMP partner facility with testing at accredited/NABL labs; we are asset-light and do not own a plant. We can prepare documentation and labelling toward your target market, though final claims compliance rests with you as the brand owner.
